Perfect Exposure (Photographer's Eye): Freeman, Professor ~ I think it's and interesting take on exposure. I found it much better than his other book on The Photographer's Eye Remastered 10th Anniversary: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photographs. If I was starting out I'd go to Understanding Exposure, Fourth Edition: How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera as first base.
